Ethical question

I have a question for everyone,

If you could cheat and win a gold medal in the Olympics and no one will ever find out would you do it?

Think about it, write in your diary about it, and if you want post a comment with your thoughts. I already know my answer and why I feel that way and I want to see what your thoughts are. I will post my answer as another blog entry in a couple days.

Oh and if you are uncomfortable sharing your true feelings then just post as 'anonymous'.

There are so many more important things than a gold medal in the Olympics. Like, integrity and honesty, those are good qualities...and they also help with the ultimate "gold medal" of the Celestial Kingdom...oh yeah!

Than again...if I played sports...I might have a different answer. :)

I would choose to be honest and not get the gold medal. In the heat of the moment I hope that I would follow through with my previous decision.

I would have to say, "no, I would not cheat, no matter what the lack of negative consequence would be."

I love sports, love to play them, and would LOVE to have an Olympic gold medal, as it is the ultimate goal and reward for an athlete. But I have too much of a conscience, too strong a belief in integrity, and too high a fear and respect for God to do something as hypocritical as cheating, no matter what the level.

I just can't imagine that you would say "yes". But I suppose I'll have to wait and see. Of course, you probably have some amazing backing to why you would cheat and how it would not sacrifice your integrity. Cuz you smart like dat.

No because I would feel guilty for the rest of my life and every time someone said good job or would congratulate me it would make it worse. I would probably have dreams about it and it would eat at me until I would have to admit it. Then I would have to publicly apologize and give back the gold medal like Milli Vanilli....oh wait, that was a grammy, not a gold medal.

That's why I married your mom - to keep me on the straight and narrow path.

So what is your answer Jamon?

Jamon, you are leaving us all hanging for way too long! I think your method of saying you'll tell us your answer and then not posting it is very unethical.
